Who operates this website

This website is operated by Movans Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17278860, with its registered office at 70 Upper Richmond Road, London, SW15 2RP. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZC181194. You can contact us at move@movans.co.uk. In these terms, “we”, “us”, “our” and “the operator” mean Movans Ltd.

1. The estimate is not a quote

The figures shown by the Removals Cost Calculator are indicative estimates calculated from the information you enter. They are not offers, contracts, or guarantees of price. The actual amount you are charged by a removal company will depend on a physical survey of your property, the specific date of your move, prevailing fuel costs, parking and access conditions on the day, and any services or materials agreed with your chosen mover.

We recommend obtaining written quotes from at least three BAR- or NGRS-registered removal companies before committing to a booking.

2. No contract, and our role

Using the calculator does not create any contract between you and Movans Ltd or between you and any removal company. The calculator does not take payment and does not place an order for removal services. Movans Ltd is a removals business. Where this website invites you to book a survey or request a quote, that survey or quote would be provided by Movans Ltd or a removal company, and is separate from the calculator estimate - the estimate does not bind any later quote. You are free to obtain quotes from any removal company you choose, and we recommend you compare several before booking.

3. Acceptable use

• You may use the calculator for personal, non-commercial planning.
• You must not scrape, automate, or republish the outputs, the pricing engine, or any part of this site without permission.
• You must not attempt to interfere with the operation of the site or bypass any rate limits.

4. Intellectual property

The pricing model, wizard design, software, and written content on this site are the property of the operator and are protected by UK and international copyright and database right.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator’s liability for any loss arising from your reliance on an estimate produced by the calculator is excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law (including under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 s.62).

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page with an updated date.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
